The Kick-off meeting of JISER MED was held at the University of Barcelona .It has counted with the participation of it’s parners, associates members and other outstanding members of the Mediterranean Higher Education Area.

23rd Annual EAIE Conference
JISER-MED project have participated in a poster session on the 23rd Annual EAIE Conference that was held in Copenhagen on September 13th -16th, 2011.The poster is part of the dissemination dimension of the project philosophy and its activities. The EAIE have provided a suitable environment for this task and it has allowed people to ask questions about the project and the activities undertaken.
The EAIE is a non-profit organization whose main aim is the stimulation and facilitation of the internationalization of higher education in Europe and around the world. The EAIE is a member-led organization made up of individual members. It has a committed membership of more than 2300 international education professionals - from rectors to professors to international exchange coordinators.
Education Without Borders international conference in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, 2011
The rector of the University of Barcelona attended the "Education: Region Specific Challenges" session that took place at the Education Without Borders (EWB) 2011 Forum in Dubai, UAE. This Forum is organised every two years and brings together university students and personalities from around the world to discuss, exchange views, and take initiatives to reframe higher education in today´s globalized environment.

University Policy Conference on Joint Degrees Program - Jerez de la Frontera.
The JISER-MED project was presented at the University of Cadiz, Spain, within the Conference on University Policy organized by the Ministry of Education that was held on 14 and 15 March 2011 at Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. The JISER-MED project was presented during a session dedicated to the Erasmus Mundus Action 3 projects.
Participation to the “Euroregió Pirineus Mediterrània” on 15 June 2011
Anna Cuatrecasas has participated to the launching seminar of the Creamed project, Network of business incubators in the Pyrenees-Mediterranean region. Creamed is a collaboration of regional authorities of the Euroregió members to promote convergence of policies and support business development in the region. Euroregió is an associated partner of the JISER MED project.
First meeting between the Campus Mare Nostrum (CMN) – EPUF - JISER/MED (UB) - IEMED
The first meeting between Campus Mare Nostrum (CMN), EPUF, JISER / MED (UB) and the IEMED was held at the University of Barcelona on 22 March 2011.The JISER-MED project was presented during the meeting and ways of collaboration with the CMN were explored.
Campus Mare Nostrum is the International Excellence Campus for Higher Education and Research of the University of Murcia (UM), and the University of Cartagena (UPCT). The campus is a joint initiative of international organizations, research centres, technology parks, companies and Spanish local administration.
The last 30th and 31st May, representatives of the JISER-MED consortium from the Universitat de Barcelona and the ANECA have visited Jordanians Higher Education Institutions and Universities.
